The last performances of Taunton Thespians Summer Tour are now looming, with Maunsel House tonight (3rd July) Mount Somerset Hotel (4th July) Dillington House (5th July) and Hartwood House (6th July) all lined up to offer you the treat of William Shakespeare’s witty tale about the exploits of the ‘Fat Knight’ Sir John Falstaff played by Maat Ward. Maat captures the true spirit of the naughty knave as he woos two wealthy women, and finds himself bundled into a laundry (buck) basket and carried away! In the spirit of the age we see irony in abundance coupled with ribald humour and a health disrespect for matters of the court. Not to be missed…
